a project dedicated to developing an artificial intelligence that prioritises mental well-being, in particular monitoring and flagging indications of suicide and suicidal behaviour.
this would alert a dedicated team of volunteers to provide intervention and support in attempt to reduce the number of deaths attributed to suicide every day.

a systems and structural project to design and develop 99 sanctuaries around the globe as part of humanitarian aid solutions during crisis.
these sanctuaries will also explore the implementation of self-sustaining shelters and neonatal incubation in low- resource settings.

MAP-ME TOOL
this project, which formed kirpal's final year thesis during her undergraduate engineering degree, is based on using a software environment to map somatosensations that are associated with emotional states to provide a form of self-monitoring and assessment of mental wellbeing.
the program was coded in 2018 and has since been developed with the ambitions of creating a smart phone friendly app for better accessibility.
the application of this tool can encourage more appropriate and better healthcare/treatment options for those suffering with ill-mental health.
the research involved in this project has led to further avenues for exploration, particularly in pregnancy and also for methods to communicate pain between patient and practitioner.

our DISPLACEMENT project uses augmented reality and virtual reality in the form of an altered self-reflection (via a digitally enhanced large mirror), to explore the distress of displaced beings in migration who seek refuge.
